Registration of foreign-owned companies

A foreign investor may establish a legal entity by registration of a new company under Russian laws (alone or with a Russian partner) or acquire an interest (shares) in existing Russian company.

Registration of a limited liability company founded by a foreigner may be difficult even for an experienced lawyer since many specific features occur in the standard procedure of registration, such as completion of forms or aspects of formalizing employment relationship if a foreigner takes managerial or other position and participate in the company’s operation.
